CHILD CARE TRAINING EXAM PROCTORS-ORANGE,OSCEOLA, SEMINOLE - 8/28/2008
PART TIME POSITION: GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Responsible for monitoring and adhering to the Dept. of Children & Families Competency Exams according to “Proctor’s Guide For Child Care Training Exams” (Proctor’s Guide) for up to 20 students. Proctors will be monitoring examinations in Orange, Osceola or Seminole Counties. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Arrives at the exam site 30 minutes prior to exam start time. Assists with setting up the exam site as outlined and designated in the Proctor Guide to ensure compliance. Distributes exam materials including the exam, bubble sheet, and exam to students. Assists Child Care Training Lead Proctor in instructing students on using Scantron Bubble Answer Sheets and including the required information section. Ensures students are properly seated at the correct table tent with the correct exam. Ensures students are given the correct version of exam by verifying against the roster. Times and monitors the actual exam as specified in the Proctor’s Guide.. Assists in collecting exams from students upon exam completion. Assists in returning tables and chairs to the prior set-up per facility guidelines. Attends all mandatory proctor trainings and meetings. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to handle several tasks and oversee 20 students taking exam. Ability to gain knowledge of “Proctor’s Guide for Child Care Training Exams”. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to direct exam takers and to oversee the testing process. Ability to work independently and be self-motivated to achieve goal. Knowledge of office practices and procedures. Ability to give verbal instructions. Ability to remain flexible in changing environment. Ability for ensuring that accurate procedures are followed by exam takers. Ability to work and communicate with people from various multi-cultural backgrounds and socio-economic levels. Sensitivity to the needs, abilities, beliefs, and attitudes of individuals within and outside the Agency, including but not limited to customers and co-workers. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of appropriate equivalent diploma (GED). Experience working with confidential information/ materials. PROVIDER CONSULTANT-SEMINOLE COUNTY - 8/28/2008
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Performs advanced professional and clerical work in assessing child care programs and offering technical assistance for quality improvement. Focus on program evaluations and technical assistance to child care centers and family child care homes. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to gain knowledge of agency terminology and of rules and regulations in child care. Background and professional credibility in Early Childhood Education. Knowledge of office practices and procedures. Ability to make verbal presentations and prepare written reports in a professional manner. Ability to assist in goal setting, motivation and support. Knowledge in the use of computers including knowledge of Microsoft software applications. Ability to work and communicate with people from various multi-cultural backgrounds and socio-economic levels. Sensitivity to the needs, abilities, beliefs, and attitudes of individuals within and outside the Agency, including but not limited to customers and co-workers. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or a related field with an early childhood credential. Two (2) years classroom teaching experience in a high quality early care and learning program or family child care home. LICENSES/PERMITS REQUIRED: Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License and daily access to a dependable vehicle. Must meet criteria for background screening as required for child care personnel in child care licensing regulations. QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST-LEE COUNTY - 6/13/2008
LOCATION: FT. MYERS GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Serves as an internal audit reviewer for data and program quality assurance. Reviews paper and electronic information collected by other agency staff and compares this information to contractual and data requirements. Prepares accurate, objective, and detailed documentation of audit results, in a timely manner, within a prescribed format. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to travel 1 day per week to the Collier County (Naples) office. Knowledge of office practices and procedures. Knowledge of common office business machines. Ability to operate a desktop computer. Organizational and time management skills needed to complete tasks with minimal supervision. Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing. Ability to maintain objectivity and accuracy while working within deadlines. Ability to learn detailed contractual and program requirements for purposes of comparisons to documentation. Ability to read case files and accurately compare contents to defined parameters. Ability to type 35 correct words per minute. Ability to work and communicate with people from various multi-cultural backgrounds and socio-economic levels. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Associates of Science Degree in Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field. Course work in quality assurance, auditing, or comparable training. Two years experience working with detailed information required. Two years experience in quality assurance auditing preferred.
